What We Do
We stock a wide selection of mid century, retro and Danish furniture of high quality from the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s, many from well known manufacturers and designers from this period.
At retrovintage, we strive to provide a hand-picked selection of original vintage furniture to complement your mid-century home or workplace.
As well as fabulous mid-century and Danish furniture, you’ll find a carefully selected range of finishing touches, including retro clocks, mirrors, ceramics, glassware, floorlamps.
We’ll always only have one or two of each item though – as each vintage piece will have been unearthed individually on its own merits.
If you are looking for a particular vintage object that is not in our current stock we can source the item for you at no additional cost.
We have access to hundreds of objects and make regular buying trips to auction houses and specialist mid-century and Danish furniture shows and we have contacts with other retro dealers around the country.
We’re rather choosy about the mid-century furniture that we sell and aim only to offer pieces that we would love to live with in our own home. We hold a small but very carefully selected range of original vintage pieces. They do sell quickly, mind you, so there are always exciting new things arriving every week.
Much of the retro furniture that we have for sale was designed and manufactured by household names and some others who are maybe not so well known. Some examples of the designers and manufacturers from this period –
Eames, Parker Knoll, Conran, G-Plan, Ercol, McIntosh of Kirkcaldy, A.Younger, John Herbert, Poul Poulsen, Avalon, Ladderax by Staples, Mies Van Der Rohe, Merrow Associates, Arkana, Maison Jansen, Nathan, Gangso Mobler, Howard Keith.
