Description
Stylish and functional, the black metal uprights and easy removable support bars, allow the teak shelves and cabinet to be positioned wherever required. Notches in the rear of the uprights allow the cabinet and shelves to be height adjusted.
The furniture manufacturer Avalon, a British company based in the town of Yatton, Somerset, also made furniture under the names of Wake & Dean and Yatton Furniture. In times past, most of the inhabitants of Yatton would have been employed in agriculture. At the time of the Industrial Revolution a furniture factory was established, initially manufacturing church pews and school desks. The successor to this company, Avalon Furniture, produced stylish and popular ‘modern’ furniture during the mid century period and traded successfully for decades, finally closing in 1985.
A structurally sound, great looking piece of furniture that is ready for use with, as you’d expect, some signs of age and use.
