Stylish and functional, this is an outstanding Interflex mid century shelving system. The black metal uprights have bolt holes that allow the cabinetry to be positioned wherever required. This is a very versatile piece of retro furniture. These adjustable, modular shelving systems are a true mid century design classic and are very highly sought after today. Interflex were inspired by similar Danish shelving systems. This mid century Scandinavian design movement was all about reinterpreting simple, linear shapes from earlier design periods and making them ‘simpler’.
This system features three full height bays, with 1 shelf and 7 cabinets. These systems are great for storing books, vinyl records, stationery, etc or for displaying glassware, ceramics or houseplants. Remember that the cabinets can be moved around and set at different heights to suit your needs.
The Interflex system combines uprights that support shelves and cabinets, which screw securely into the uprights. One of the great benefits of this Interflex system, over its Scandinavian counterparts, is that it doesn’t need to be attached to the wall. The whole set up breaks down when it needs to be moved and is then ready for you to rebuild at home.
A structurally sound, great looking piece of furniture that is ready for use with, as is always the case with these systems, some signs of age and use.
Key present for drinks cabinet. Desk door no longer requires a key and is held in place by a catch when it is closed over.
