    Wonderful vintage dining chairs by the British mid century maker Herbert E. Gibbs.

    Herbert E. Gibbs trained as a cabinet maker at a technical college and also taught carpentry at a school. He founded Herbert E. Gibbs, a furniture manufacturing company in approximately the 1920s. The firm was based at De Beauvoir Road, London and later First Avenue, Montague Road, London. The firm produced good quality furniture for domestic and commercial use. This was sold through high-end retailers across the UK, including Heals of London.

    Strong and structurally sound, in original, unrestored condition. The small signs of age and use you'd expect but ready for use in your home as they stand.
