A very cool 1960s lounge chair. Probably Swedish and very similar in style to those designed and produced by the Swedish makers Overman and Swedfurn. Sometimes referred to as a pod chair or egg chair, this is an extremely stylish piece of furniture. Black is THE colour for these chairs, possibly due to their association with a certain Bond villain sitting on this style of chair while stroking a white cat, and this one sits on top of a very modern looking chromed star base, so typical of the period.
