Description
A stunning original Harvey Guzzini table lamp. In 1972 Italian designer Luigi Massoni created this glossy Italian mushroom table light, known as Brumbury. It is made of a chrome-plated metal base with a space-age acrylic shade. The lamp has a single central bulb with 3 side bulbs. The top bulb is designed to operate independently from the side bulbs by use of an inline switch. They can be lit separately thanks to the multi-switch. This means that there are three light settings available – The crown can be lit on its own, the rim on its own or both the crown and rim can be lit together (see photos).
Iguzzini was an Italian lighting company founded in 1959 as Harvey Creazioni by the sons of Mariano Guzzini. The company started to produce enameled copper artistic objects. The name was inspired by Harvey the giant rabbit, imaginary friend of James Stewart in the famous 1950s film. The company soon specialized in plastic products, producing internationally awarded designs by legendary designers like Gio Ponti, Bruno Gecchelin, Michel de Lucchi, Ron Arad, Rodolfo Bonetto, Gae Aulenti, Piero Castiglioni and Jean-Michel Wilmotte.
