A fabulous floor lamp in glowing chrome and luminous plastic. This chrome-plated standard floor lamp was designed by Harvey Guzzini for Meblo in the 1960s and casts a typical Guzzini glow of softly diffused light. This one has a touch of pearly lustre in the plastic shade. This ‘Bud Grande’ floor lamp was designed for Harvey Guzzini in 1968. It is a typical example of fine Italian design. The impressive lamp gives a very pleasant light and remains in super original condition.
Iguzzini was an Italian lighting company founded in 1959 as Harvey Creazioni by the sons of Mariano Guzzini. The company started to produce enameled copper artistic objects. The name was inspired by Harvey the giant rabbit, imaginary friend of James Stewart in the famous 1950s film. The company soon specialized in plastic products, producing internationally awarded designs by legendary designers like Gio Ponti, Bruno Gecchelin, Michel de Lucchi, Ron Arad, Rodolfo Bonetto, Gae Aulenti, Piero Castiglioni and Jean-Michel Wilmotte.
The ‘clicker’ switch that sits on the floor no longer operates so the lamp needs to be switched on and off at the wall socket.
