Description
This mid century bureau was designed by Richard Hornby and manufactured by Fyne Ladye during the 1960s. It’s a finely crafted, high quality desk made from solid afrormosia. The bureau features three spacious drawers below its desktop. The top section is fronted by a panel that drops down to form the desktop area, with little drawers, pigeon holes and shelves to the rear of the desk space. This is a rare high end bureau and has some lovely design features such as the ‘hidden’ drawer pulls and the elegant little retaining edge that runs around three sides of its top.
The bureau retains its full functionality but no longer locks as there is no key present. There is a little ‘nibble’ to right hand side (see photos).
