A stunning set of four Danish vintage dining chairs with seat pads in light brown faux leather. These elegant dining chairs were designed for the Danish manufacturer Ansager and are made from teak.
Founded in 1922, Ansager's designs were conceived by the owners and the craftsmen in their workshop, inspired by tradition and market trends. Ansager were renowned for craftsmanship and their knowledge of woodworking skills. They had a fine reputation and family ownership for 3 generations ensured consistent quality pieces.
In the 50s-70s Ansager benefitted from the international popularity of Danish design and exported globally, mostly dinning furniture. From the mid 70s their decline started due to lessening interest in Danish and mid century design and growing customer acceptance of mass-produced factory furniture. Ansager closed in 2013.
Structurally sound, in super vintage condition and ready for use in your home.
