This is a set of 6 very desirable mid century dining chairs with oatmeal fabric seat pads, manufactured in Denmark by Dyrlund. These beautiful chairs are truly elegant in their design, with wonderful, comfort enhancing, shaping to their backs.
Founded in 1960 and still making furniture today, Dyrlund pride themselves on delivering only the finest quality furniture for high end homes and offices. To this day, they place great emphasis on skilled craftsmanship, using traditional Danish cabinet-making methods.
These are a lovely set of chairs and are structurally sound. As you’d expect, the seat pads aren’t just as cushioned as when new but the chairs can be used as they are or you can recover, if you choose. Barely worth mentioning but there are some small signs of where joints have been re-glued, historically (see photos). The re-glues remain strong.
