Description
This is a set of oh-so-desirable vintage dining chairs, designed in Denmark in the 1960s by Henning Kjaernulf. These iconic Danish chairs are beautifully designed and have curves in all the right places, so typical of high end Scandinavian dining chairs of the mid century period. The Model 23 is a rare and sought after design. The black colour of the seat pads looks super on the Scandi designed frames.
Henning Kjaernulf (1911–1975) was a Danish architect and mid century furniture designer best known for his bold, sculptural approach to Scandinavian modernism. While life story details are scarce, his physical work and manufacturer collaborations remain well-documented.
These gorgeous chairs are strong and structurally sound. The black seat pads are in great condition too, with only minor signs of age and use. See photos to see ‘drip’ marks on one chair back and one seat pad.
