Danish Tambour Fronted Teak Bureau by Dyrlund

Danish Tambour Fronted Teak Bureau by Dyrlund

A beautiful, high quality Danish bureau.

Out of stock

This mid century bureau, by the esteemed Danish maker Dyrlund, is a finely crafted, high quality desk that features five spacious drawers set below its desktop. The top section is fronted by a phenomenal tambour roller door panel that glides open when the top drawer/desktop is pulled out – very very cleverly designed! Hidden behind the tambour door are beautifully crafted little drawers and pigeonholes to the rear of the desk space. This is a high quality little bureau with beautiful drawer handles. The desktop itself can be lifted up to reveal a sectioned drawer below and a mirror on its underside which allows the bureau to double up as a dressing table, if required.

Founded in 1960 and still making furniture today, Dyrlund pride themselves on delivering only the finest quality furniture for high end homes and offices. To this day, they place great emphasis on skilled craftsmanship, using traditional Danish cabinet-making methods.

This is a solid and outstanding piece of furniture with just a little, very hidden, nibble to the bottom of one side (see photo). Key no longer present but all elements of the bureau remain fully functioning.
