An excellent piece of retro furniture, this narrow teak and glass cabinet is the perfect for any modern foyer or living room.
Jentique Furniture was a mid-century English firm that followed the Danish-design taste of the times. Before founding Jentique, Geoffrey Jenkins was well known as a toymaker. In 1932, he designed a water driven hydraulic toothbrush. It was destined for failure. While the “Kavor” toothbrush didn’t find a market, Jenkins did succeed with a well manufactured gramophone. It was the gramophone that led him to focus on furniture-making under the name Jentique Furniture. During the late 1950s and 60s Jentique specialised in modern, contemporary furniture. It capitalised on the trend toward clean Danish lines. Today, Jentique furniture from the mid century retro period has become prized for its elegant proportions, attractive design and excellent build quality.
