Description
A beautiful Danish teak dining table. This is a gorgeous, cleverly designed piece of vintage ‘Scandinavian Modern’ furniture with stunning grain patterns. The banding around the edge of this dining table is a particularly attractive design feature. The two additional leaves store easily underneath the table top. One or both can be set in place, allowing you to set the table at three different lengths. A space-saving, flexible table. This is a substantial mid century piece that would look fantastic in any contemporary setting.
The Danish modern design movement was born out of the interwar period in Denmark, a time of great change and upheaval. As Denmark transitioned from an agricultural to an industrial economy, a new generation of designers emerged, eager to embrace new materials and technologies. The result was Danish furniture that valued simplicity, functionality, and a focus on quality craftsmanship.
In super condition as we’ve had the table refinished by a professional furniture restorer. When extended, there is a slight sloping to the end leaves. We’ve significantly reduced the price of the table to reflect this.
