Description
This is a beautiful Scandinavian dining table, designed by Rolf Rastad and Adolf Relling and manufactured in Norway in the 1960s by the firm Gustav Bahus. A cleverly designed piece of vintage ‘Scandinavian Modern’ furniture, the banding around the edge of this dining table is a particularly attractive design feature. One or both additional leaves can be set in place, allowing you to set the table at three different lengths. A space-saving, flexible table, the top has a beautiful wood grain above the round, tapered legs. The gentle curve to he edges of the table top combine with the contrasting solid teak edging to make this a table that is very stylish to look at while maintaining the simplicity of design that is synonymous with the Scandinavian Modern design movement. This is a substantial mid century piece that would look fantastic in any contemporary setting. The table’s legs are removable too.
This super table is structurally sound and in original unrestored condition. We’ve substantially discounted the price to reflect the signs of age and use. If you’d prefer to purchase the table refinished and restored to its original glory, please contact Stuart on 07534323180.
