Description
A beautifully crafted teak drinks cabinet manufactured in the 1960s and designed by the Norwegian designer Torbjorn Afdal. This stylish piece is extremely rare as it was only produced in low numbers. Featuring double twin doors with stunning grain to the teak veneer. This stunning piece features glass shelving with a mirrored back, a pull-out table, storage for bottles, and two drawers.
Afdal, a respected Norwegian designer, was known for making functional and elegant pieces like this one – not only can you store your glasses and bottles, but you can also fix up a drink using the convenient laminated pull out table. Afdal is also known for his lovely hall benches but also specialised in cocktail and bar cabinets.
A light fitting and bulb are in place, largely unseen, within the upper rear part of the cabinet. The light operates automatically when the cabinet door is opened and it illuminated without any issues when we tested it. A power cable remains in place but we’ve removed the plug and are selling the cabinet without power, only because we don’t have the required qualification to test and certify electrical goods. The option is there for you if you choose to reactivate the lighting yourself.
