Description
This is a unique mid century cabinet in rosewood, designed by Trevor Chinn for Gordon Russel in 1979. With shaped handles and chromed hinges on a plinth base, this outstanding piece was a special commission for the Chief Executive’s office at Strathclyde Regional Council. Behind those beautifully finished doors there is a height adjustable / removable shelf. Would look great as a drinks cabinet or a home for your LPs.
The name Gordon Russell is pretty legendary amongst mid century furniture enthusiasts. The firm was at the forefront of UK furniture design during this period and became particularly well known for providing very high end furniture for the boardrooms and executive offices of major companies.
Structurally sound and in nice, unrestored condition. Key not present.
