A super Mid Century dining table & 4 chairs by White and Newton. This super table has a built-in, swing-out extension leaf that allows it to be extended when extra guests need to be accommodated. The table works well from 4 people up to 8. The table is made from teak and the chairs have had their seat pads recovered in a fresh off-white fabric.

White and Newton of Portsmouth were on the cutting edge of furniture design and production in Britain throughout the mid 20th century. Under the design direction of the talented Arthur Edwards, the firm produced stunning high end furniture often defined by its clean modern lines and stark linear form. The company favoured the use of teak as a staple design material but also on occasion embraced luxurious timbers such as rosewood for its high end aesthetic.
