  • Description

A beautifully crafted vintage glass-fronted bookcase by the famed maker, Minty. This piece is modular and consists of three separate shelves that 'lock' together via a hidden mechanism on the underneath of each cabinet.

Antique Barristers Bookcases were first seen in the late Victorian period and were usually stacking with cabinet glazed doors, in a similar style to Globe Wernicke bookcases. They were designed to store books or other office documents and were commonly seen in solicitors offices, libraries or schools. The beauty of these antique bookcases was that you were able to order them in any height as they stacked on top of each other. They are extremely collectable as they can house a large book collection and are quite a unique design.

    W89 x H110 x D29cm
