  • Description

A beautiful sideboard, from Skovby's Rasmus range, designed and manufactured in Denmark. This is a substantial, stunning high-end Danish sideboard with interior lighting and gorgeous grain patterns. The lower left hand cupboard door opens to reveal a bank of felt lined tray drawers. To the right of the drawers sits a large double cupboard with a shelf that is height adjustable and removeable. The upper cabinet has glazed doors, behind which sit six height adjustable and removable glass shelves. A stylish and capacious piece of Scandinavian cabinetry, this piece would sit well in a lounge, dining room or hallway.

Skovby was founded in 1933 by cabinetmaker Thorvald Rasmussen. His son Villy Rasmussen and grandsons Preben and Jørgen Rasmussen have carried on ever since. Early special assignments for the small one-man workshop quickly advanced to complete dining room suites. Skovby are still producing furniture today, with a continuing focus on craftsmanship and natural materials.

In super original vintage condition and structurally sound. There's a little separation at the right of the sideboard's bottom plinth (see photo) but the entire piece remains sturdy and strong. The cabinet separates into two parts to make it easier to move.

    W157 x D48 x H182cm
