This vintage sideboard by British maker Austinsuite has an eye-catching Scandinavian look to it. This classic piece of mid century furniture, originally a dressing chest, features extensive storage. Two long drawers sit between the smaller drawers on either side. The beautiful drawer handles and long legs are stand-out features of this mid century sideboard.
Austinsuite of London were at the forefront of English mid century design creating stunning designs to rival G Plan and Ercol using beautiful and exotic woods to create highly practical and appealing pieces. The company was founded in London by four Austin brothers.
A super, attractive sideboard. Barely worth mentioning but there is a little, almost unnoticeable, repair to the handle of the top right drawer. Highly unlikely to be noticed unless you know it is there. The top surface is in excellent condition as we’ve had it refinished by a professional furniture restorer.
