Description
This mid century cabinet was made by McIntosh of Kirkcaldy, a firm who created high end furniture for the British market. This stylish piece of vintage furniture can be employed as a bookcase, drinks cabinet, hall cabinet or as a miniature sideboard.
Herbert E. Gibbs trained as a cabinet maker at a technical college and also taught carpentry at a school. He founded Herbert E. Gibbs, a furniture manufacturing company in approximately the 1920s. The firm was based at De Beauvoir Road, London and later First Avenue, Montague Road, London. The firm produced good quality furniture for domestic and commercial use. This was sold through high-end retailers across the UK, including Heals of London.
In super vintage condition. Each of the two longer shelves are height adjustable / removable.
