Description
We can’t say enough about this stunning sideboard. To the left sits a bank of three drawers, the top drawer with cutlery dividers still in place. To the right of the drawers sits a super little drop-front drinks cabinet. The right half of the cabinet is a double cupboard with cut-away shelf and fronted by two sliding doors that glide easily past one another from one side to the other. The sliding cupboard doors allow this piece to be placed where space is at a premium. The sliding doors are space-saving as they don’t require to be swung open into the room space.
Other design highlights of this piece include the beautiful cut out handles and the unusual position of its legs, at the extreme corners of the piece. Look out also for the softly curving edges of the top and end pieces of the sideboard. Lastly, turn this credenza around to reveal a real sign of quality. The way the rear has been finished in beautiful teak is a rare feature and a sign of the quality of this substantial piece of mid century furniture. Sideboards are normally placed against a wall but the finish to the rear of this one offers the potential to use this credenza as a room divider.
