Description
This is a very stylish vintage writing desk (circa 1930s). The desk is made from oak and has 6 drawers with a kneehole area in the centre. This stylish vintage desk has also been well finished to its rear side. The result is that it looks good in the centre of a room space as well as sat against a wall.
Surviving from around the 1930s, this twin pedestal oak desk has aged well with super patina and the signs of age and use that you’d expect. The frame sits firmly on 8 sturdy legs and the drawers all run as they should. There is an old break to part of the rear of the desk (see photo) but this has no affect on use of the desk or its stability.
The good news is that the desk breaks down when it needs to be moved so it will be delivered with the top piece separated from the two pedestal bases. There will be 12 screws provided to allow you to easily secure the top piece in place. The key for the drawer that sits under the desktop is no longer present.
