This gorgeous vintage coffee table is an iconic design by Eileen Gray. Designed almost 100 years ago, in 1927, the E1027 table still looks fresh and current today. This famous design allows for the height of the glass table top to be adjusted. The table can be used as a coffee, side or hall table, or even as a bedside table.
Eileen Gray (1878 – 1976) was an Irish interior designer, furniture designer and architect who became a pioneer of the Modernist Movement in architecture. She was romanitically invlolved with the architect Jean Badovici, who taught her architecture and collaborated with her on various buildings. Their most famous work is the house known as E-1027 in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, France.
