Description
A super pair of Kosuga bedside cabinets. These vintage bedside cupboards in teak, are rare and beautiful mid century classics, with styling very typical of American mid century modern design. The cabinets have hidden door pulls that leave the clean, symmetrical lines of the cabinet undisturbed.
Paul Frankl seems to be the link between the Japanese firm Kosuga and the US maker Brown Saltman. Brown Saltman’s legacy was born out of a collaboration between designer Paul Frankl and furniture manufacturer David Saltman. Together, they created stunning mid century modern furniture. Brown Saltman dissolved in 1960, but its well-built and beautifully designed furniture remains in high demand today. Kosuga was established in Tokyo in 1962. Paul Frankl designed for Kosuga at times and these Japanese pieces have been becoming more and more collectible as time goes on. Kosuga made a lot of the furniture that Paul Frankl designed and sold in his Beverly Hills gallery.
Structurally sound mid century modern cabinets. In great condition and ready for use in your home.
