An amazing rosewood sideboard from one of the great British mid century designers – Robert Heritage – for the maker Archie Shine. The wonderful use of the brushed aluminium military campaign style drawer pulls give this classic piece of mid century design a quintessentially British feel. As with all Archie Shine, Robert Heritage pieces it is of great quality and was only sold at very high end retailers such as Harrods. Even the back is covered in some amazing veneer!
This stylish sideboard has a bank of four drawers to the right, the top drawer with its felt lined cutlery divider in place. To the left are two separate cupboards, the left hand cupboard having a shelf.
The photographs illustrate how the interior rosewood is darker than that on the outside. Arguably this gives the sideboard a more beautiful tone that is more easily integrated into modern décor schemes than some darker rosewood pieces. The sideboard is in beautiful condition and the grain is stunningly attractive.
