Description
Super stylish vintage dining chairs with black vinyl seat pads and chair backs, designed by Peter Hayward for British maker Vanson. Take a good look at the photographs to witness the beautiful shaping of these chairs. The subtle curves and the contrast between the teak and black vinyl mark out these mid century dining chairs as superior seating.
Peter Hayward established his reputation as a furniture designer in the 1950s -70s. With an impressive client list that included G-Plan, Parker Knoll, Greaves & Thomas, Uniflex, Race Furniture and not forgetting Heals and Son in London. Several of his designs were selected for the Design Council and Design Index and because this acclaim represented British design in the UK and abroad until his death in 2005.
These mid century modern chairs are in nice original condition. Strong, structurally sound and ready for use. Vinyl in nice condition. We’ve cleaned and oiled the teak frames. As you’d expect, the frames show some signs of age.
