Description
Super stylish vintage dining chairs with grey fabric seat pads and chair backs, designed by Peter Hayward for British maker Vanson. Take a good look at the photographs to witness the beautiful shaping of these chairs. The subtle curves and the contrast between the teak and the fabric mark out these mid century dining chairs as superior seating.
Peter Hayward established his reputation as a furniture designer in the 1950s -70s. With an impressive client list that included G-Plan, Parker Knoll, Greaves & Thomas, Uniflex, Race Furniture and not forgetting Heals and Son in London. Several of his designs were selected for the Design Council and Design Index and because this acclaim represented British design in the UK and abroad until his death in 2005.
The set, consisting of two carver style armchairs and two standard chairs, is in very nice condition. Strong, structurally sound and ready for use. Fabric is in great shape. See photo for the most noticeable (rather unnoticeable actually) faint mark.
