This is a vintage 1960's 'Stateroom' teardrop glass top coffee table by Stonehill of London. The Stateroom table from Stonehill is a mid century classic. Made from solid teak, It features a refined and sculptural base that arches up to elevate an elliptical top with glass insert. This beautiful retro design is a must have in any modern environment and looks elegant from every angle.
The top has an inset removable glass panel. It is raised on four feet and has the feel of the G Plan ‘Astro’ design.
Structurally sound and in very nice original, vintage condition. There's a largely unnoticeable previous repair to the inside of one of the legs (see photo) that remains sturdy and strong. As is always the case with these tables, the smoked glass shows scratches in places.
