Description
A stylish piece of English vintage furniture. Beautiful lines make this a simple, aesthetically pleasing and practical piece of mid century furniture. This is a stunning piece of British mid century seating, designed by Robin Day. This sofa is a distinctive piece that looks great from every angle.
The Hille furniture company was started in the East End of London in 1906 by Salamon Hille. Hille’s most famous designer was, of course, Robin Day. From the very outset Day was given carte blanche to design whatever he wanted and to have prototypes built. Day is most famously remembered for his best selling product, the Polypropylene chair, the first of which was the polyside chair in 1963.
A super, structurally sound vintage sofa with signs of age and use. The seat bases are currently with our upholsterer for re-webbing. Please call or message Stuart for full condition report.
